From 6 weeks. The First Chapter, our early pregnancy ultrasound, is available from 6 to 13 weeks and includes baby's heartbeat and a measurement for due-date prediction.
How early can I find out the gender?
From 14 weeks with The Character Reveal, our early gender ultrasound.
When is the best time for a 3D ultrasound?
For the most lifelike face, 26 to 30 weeks, when baby's cheeks have filled out. 3D/4D sessions start at 14 weeks. See our week-by-week guide to 3D ultrasound timing.
How long does a session last?
The First Chapter is 15 minutes. The Character Reveal and The Narrative are 20 minutes. The Illustrated Chapter is our longest session at 30 minutes.

Not at Mother Goose. Sessions before 14 weeks focus on baby's heartbeat and due date. Gender determination starts at 14 weeks with The Character Reveal.
Can I book more than one session during my pregnancy?
Yes. Many families come back as baby grows. The Complete Anthology bundles three sessions for $345.
Safety
Is ultrasound safe for me and my baby?
Ultrasound has been used in prenatal care for over forty years with no known harmful effects on mothers or babies. As a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Molly follows the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle with the same professional standards found in a clinical setting.
Who performs the ultrasound?
Every session is performed by Molly Mann, a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with 8+ years of professional OB/GYN ultrasound experience.
Is this a medical ultrasound?
No. Elective and keepsake sessions are for bonding and celebration. They are not a substitute for medical care and are not intended for diagnostic purposes. Please continue all prenatal care and diagnostic screenings with your medical provider.
Your Visit
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Drink plenty of water in the days before your visit. Good hydration supports healthy amniotic fluid levels, which helps create clearer images. Wear something cozy that allows easy access to your belly.
Can I bring family, friends and children?
Absolutely. Family and friends are always welcome. Our ultrasound room has a special space for little ones, with comfortable seating and kid-friendly entertainment. Planning a big moment? See our gender reveal ultrasound.
What if my baby isn't in a good position?
Baby's position, placenta location, gestational age and fluid levels all affect the images we can capture. Molly always takes her time and works to encourage baby into a better position. If baby stays camera-shy and we can't obtain images, one complimentary return visit may be offered at the sonographer's discretion.
How do I get my images and videos?
You leave with printed images, and all images and videos are delivered digitally.
Where are you located, and what are your hours?
590 Mimosa Blvd, Suite 210, Roswell, GA 30075, in historic downtown Roswell and a short drive from Alpharetta and North Atlanta. We're open Monday 8am to 2pm and Tuesday to Friday 8am to 3pm.
Will I hear my baby's heartbeat?
Yes. Listening to baby's heartbeat is included in every session.
Is my session private?
Yes. Every session is private and unhurried, in our boutique studio in Roswell.
3D, 4D, HD Live & 8K
What's the difference between 2D, 3D, 4D and HD live?
2D is the classic black-and-white view used for the heartbeat and gender. 3D is a still, lifelike image of baby's face. 4D is 3D in motion. HD live uses advanced lighting for richer, more natural skin tones. Every 3D and 4D ultrasound session includes them together.
What is a 5D ultrasound?
5D is a marketing name some studios use for HD live rendering. At Mother Goose we call it what it is: HD live imaging. Compare them in 3D vs 4D vs 5D vs 8K ultrasound.
What is an 8K ultrasound, and will my baby look exactly like it?
Hyper Realistic 8K is an artistic enhancement created from one of your clearest 3D images and delivered the same day. It is not an exact representation or prediction of your baby's appearance.
Can I add 8K to an early pregnancy session?
No. 8K is created from a clear 3D image, so add it to a 3D/4D session from 14 weeks: The Character Reveal, The Narrative or The Illustrated Chapter.
When do I get my 8K image?
Your 8K image or video is professionally enhanced after your session and delivered the same day.
